Big Trouble in China, Black and White

Black and white tonal painting based on the 1986 film Big Trouble in Little China.
Done with black, white and grey gesso paint at 15 x 20 inches. I started with the main characters and made up the rest using some reference. I find dark pencil smudges easily and is difficult to erase so the black gesso paint is good for using like ink and watering down for thin washes as well as painting opaquely with grey tones to cover up and make adjustments, since the background changed a lot as it went. If I colour this later I'll tighten up the details more and some electricity and glows.
